By 2030, 700 million people could be displaced from their homes due to water scarcity. That’s a scary number and it’s all due to the current Climate Change scenario. This is why we’re so excited to announce our participation in this new project and want to shout it from the rooftops. The project is called People and Planet: A Common Destiny and will run for four years. The project aims to raise awareness among our youth citizens about the challenges and consequences we’re facing when it comes to climate change. We want to empower you to take the lead in adopting more sustainable lifestyles, taking positive action on climate change and encouraging others to do the same. We also want to strengthen and encourage our local decision makers to make more sustainable development policies. Understanding how our local decisions have a global impact is key. This project is being implemented in 9 countries and is funded by the European Commission’s Development Education and Awareness Raising Programme (DEAR).
