This year's SprÓg (Waterford's free children's festival) was a vibrant tapestry of creativity, learning, and fun. We were delighted to be part of it with SLí Does Science. Our STEAM workshop focused on hands on activities that brought together ecological awareness and scientific inquiry: making seed bombs with native Irish wildflower seeds, launchers to plant them everywhere and decorating their launchers with their own personal thoughts on our pollinators.

Lively discussions were had on pollinators and their crucial role in our ecosystem, the best way to make your seed bomb fly further, what's needed for a seed bomb to work, how seeds grow and why these flowers are important.

By combining scientific concepts with hands-on activities and creative expression, we demonstrated how learning can be both fun and impactful.

Massive thanks to Garter Lane Arts Centre for supporting and running this amazing festival.
