What on earth are the SDGs or Sustainable Development Goals? You may have heard of them but you may not have known what they are. Well not to fear, we’re here! Basically these are 17 Goals that were passed by the UN in 2015, we have until 2030 to achieve them and there are targets for each goal. 193 countries came together to agree on them in order to change our world for the better - how cool is that?! The goals address the urgency of climate change, the desire to end poverty, fight inequalities and the implementation of sustainable communities.

It is up to us as citizens, governments, businesses, the general public and politicians to work together to build a better future for all. How do we do that? By getting involved in earth positive actions and standing up for the rights of others, from recycling that can to starting a global movement, we all have things we can do. You can see all the goals clearly in the image below. At SLi our work focuses on goals 11 (Sustainable Living), 12 (Responsible Consumption) and 13 (Climate Action).

If you want more info on the goals we have resources available here for free, you can do an internet search which will give you loads of results and info or you can start by checking out globalgoals.org.
