Taking Action on Sustainability: A Guide for Teachers

A practical workshop to engage young people and guide them on taking action on sustainability issues right now.

This Guide is designed for anyone working with young people and wishes to raise awareness about issues of sustainability and responsible consumption as well as develop projects with these learners, whether these are individual projects, with groups such as in school or with a
youth group, or larger projects within their community.

This guide provides and introduction to circular economy and climate justice. It includes a workshop plan and support materials for a 60 minute workshop designed for post primary students. It also mentions the GetLand boardgame which is available to play here: Download GetLand Game

As part of the ACT Project we also produced "Action Inspiration" Sustainability Acts Toolkit for Young People intended to help young people plan and carry out actions that promote sustainability. You can find this here: Download Action Inspiration Here

This guide is one of the results of the ACT - from Play to Action Project by Waterford Sustainable Living Initiative. We invite everyone interested in this project to be part of the mobilization for climate justice.
